About the project

Petersfield Museum, a social history museum and hidden gem in the heart of the South Downs National Park, opened its doors to visitors in June 2021 following a £4m redevelopment, supported by the National Lottery Heritage Fund and other funders. Due to Covid-19 restrictions, the celebration to mark the reopening wasn’t possible until later in the year.

The official opening was held in the new outdoor space, the Court Yard with the museum officially opened by Gyles Brandreth, who has strong links to Petersfield. The event brought together a range of supporters and funders who together made this fantastic redevelopment possible.

CCC delivery

CCC delivered a communications plan to promote the opening as well, as exhibitions and events afterwards, included:

  • Identification of key audiences and media
